For best results:
— Use Pico on even, solid colors.
— Always place Pico directly onto the surface.
— Ensure no light comes between the sensor and the surface.

Pairing
You’ll need:
A smartphone running iOS 9.0 or higher, or Android 4.3 or higher.
Pico will automatically pair with the Pico app while the app is open. Make sure your phone has Bluetooth turned on. If you're having trouble pairing, tap Pair on the Pico App home screen for more information.

Zeroing
To keep Pico accurate, make sure you zero the sensor when you turn Pico on by inserting Pico all the way into the Calibration Cap and selecting Zero from the app sidebar.

Important Safety Information
Handling
Handle Pico with care. It is made of plastic, metal, and has sensitive electronic components inside. Pico can be damaged if dropped, burned, punctured, or crushed, or if it comes in contact with liquid. Don’t use a damaged Pico as it may cause injury.
Repairing
Don’t open Pico and don’t attempt to repair Pico by yourself. Disassembling Pico may damage it or may cause injury to you. If Pico is damaged, malfunctions, or comes in contact with liquid, contact Palette.
Battery
Don’t attempt to replace the Pico battery yourself you may damage the battery, which could cause overheating and injury. The lithium-ion battery in Pico should be replaced only by Palette, and must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste. Don’t incinerate the battery.
Charging
Charge Pico with the included cable connected to a computer or to power adapters that are compatible with USB 2.0 or later. Using damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause electric shock, injury, or damage to Pico or other property.

Important Handling Information
Cleaning
Clean Pico immediately if it comes in contact with anything that may cause stains — such as dirt, ink, makeup, or lotions. To clean:
— Disconnect all cables and set Pico to sleep (press and hold the Top Button for 3 seconds).
— Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
— Avoid getting moisture in openings.
— Don’t use cleaning products or compressed air.
— Cleaning products and abrasive materials may damage the appearance and function of Pico.
Using Connectors, Ports, and Buttons
Never force a connector into a port or apply excessive pressure to a button, because this may cause damage that is not covered under the warranty. If the connector and port don’t join with reasonable ease, they probably don’t match, check for obstructions and make sure that the connector matches the port and that you have positioned the connector correctly in relation to the port.
Operating Temperature
Pico is designed to work in ambient temperatures between 32˚ and 95˚ F (0˚ and 35˚ C). Pico can be damaged and battery life shortened if stored or operated outside of this temperature range. Avoid exposing Pico to dramatic changes in temperature or humidity. When you’re using Pico or charging the battery, it is normal for Pico to get warm.
